Celine Dion, a famous Canadian singer, has admitted that her fight with Stiff Person Syndrome has prevented her from singing again.

Celine Dion: 'I'll return to stage even if I have to crawl'

Celine, 56, promised in an interview with American television personality Hoda Kotb on the Today Show that she would continue live performances even if it meant crawling to the stage and talking with her hands.

"I am going back on stage, even if I have to crawl. Even if I have to speak with my hands, I will. "I will," she promised.

Celine first revealed in December 2022 that she had been diagnosed with Stiff Person Syndrome, a condition that produces stiff muscles in the torso, limbs, and legs, with noise or mental discomfort known to provoke spasms.

She revealed that she suffered Stiff Person Syndrome for 17 years before going public.

The ill singer admitted that she'd been having symptoms since 2008. She reportedly remarked that her Stiff Person Syndrome makes her feel like she is "being strangled."

Dion also stated that she frequently suffers from cramping and has broken several ribs. Dion was forced to cancel a string of 2023 and 2024 gigs in May of last year, citing a lack of strength to tour.

When asked about her potential return to the stage, Dion told Vogue France she "can't answer that" right now. Celine Dion has sold over 250 million albums in her decades-long career.
