Claudio Bravo has brought his four years stay at Manchester City to an end, the club confirms.

The Chilean made 29 appearances, kept seven in the Premier League, and had an overall 61 in all competitions since his move from Barcelona.

Brazil’s Ederson overshadowed his goalkeeping days at the Etihad in 2017/18. He became a cover-up for the young goalkeeper and shifted his focus in Cup games.

“Bravo will be best remembered for bringing a new style of goalkeeping to City – the so-called ‘sweeper-keeper’, with his excellent technique and control with the ball at his feet.

“And last season, he made a superb late save from Aston Villa’s Bjorn Engels to preserve City’s 2-1 lead in the Carabao Cup final at Wembley,” the club recalled.

The 37-year-old boasts of six winners medals at the Etihad including a Premier League, FA Cup, League Cup, and Community Shield.

“Everybody at Manchester City would like to thank Claudio for his four years at the Club and wish him good fortune in his future endeavors.”
