Boy 6, drown in a manhole pit
Osei Sarpong, a six-year-old boy, met his untimely death by drowning in a manhole pit at Bonsu Nkwanta in the Western North Region.

A six-year-old boy, Osei Sarpong has drowned in a manhole pit.
The sad incident happened at Bonsu Nkwanta in the Juaboso District of the Western North Region.
The disheartened incident happened on Wednesday around 4 pm in the evening.
According to an eyewitness account, the deceased whose name is yet to be known was playing with his friends of the same age around the pit in the evening.
Unfortunately, the ball they were playing with fell into the pit which compelled the six-year-old boy to get in to collect his ball back but was unfortunately unable to climb top again which led him to drown in the pit.
As his colleagues realized their friends were battling to survived they shouted for help and by the time people got to the scene the little boy has sadly passed out.
Mr Osei Sarpong, the father of the deceased said the mother of the deceased passed away a few years ago.
The body of the deceased has been conveyed and deposited at Juaboso Gov't Hospital for autopsy and preservation.
The investigation is ongoing by Juaboso Police on the actual cause of the incident.
