PRESSURE CALLING itself Pillars of Ghana Cadres, has stressed that it is a high for President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo must let the Governor of the Bank of Ghana (BoG), Dr Ernest Addison to resign because the Central Bank does not belong of President Akufo-Addo and ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP).

In this sense, the group declared its unwavering support to the call by the Minority Caucus in Parliament for the resignation of Bank of Ghana (BoG) Governor, Dr Ernest Addison and his deputies. 

Pillars of Ghana Cadres by this preen release, dated 12th December, 2023, extended its full support to the minority caucus in parliament for their call on the BoG Boss and his deputies to resign for the President of the republic to appoint new leaders to steer the affairs of our revered Bank of Ghana .
The group believe that the current Bank of Ghana head and his deputies have mismanaged the affairs of the BoG which has led to the suffering and collapse of so many indigenous banks and businesses.
"We are calling on the President of the Republic, Nana Akufo-Addo, to sack the head of BoG and his deputies for their incompetence and mismanagement if they fail to resign themselves," the National Communication Officer of Pillars of Ghana Cadres, Mr Prince Henry stressed in an interview with Soireenews.com.
He noted that the continuous stay in the office of Dr Addison and his deputies would not
help solve the current economic hardships we are going through, rather it would exacerbate the plight of Ghanaians and their businesses.

He asserted that Pillars of Ghana Cadres further called on many Ghanaians, civil societies and other international bodies to call on the President of the Republic to sack the leaders of BoG if they have decided not to resign honourably.

"Pillars of Ghana Cadres wishes to inform the minority caucus in Parliament that we
would make ourselves available for any mass actions they intend to undertake in
demanding accountability for the mess the leadership of BoG has caused this nation," he said
