EC to Begin New Voters’ Registration Exercise from June 30
The exercise will be held at registration centres across the country

Ghana’s Electoral Commission (EC) has scheduled the 2020 Voters Registration exercise to commence on Tuesday, June 30, 2020.
The Deputy Chairman in charge of Corporate Services, Dr Bossman E. Asare made this known to all political parties in a letter, sighted by soireenews.com

In related development, parliament after a vote, has given greenlight to the Electoral Commission to compile a new voters’ register with Ghana Cards and Passports as a form of identification.
Out of the 198 MPs who were present in the Chamber, 106 from the Majority side voted in favour of the EC’s Constitutional Instrument (C.I. 126) which will allow for the new arrangement. 92 Minority members voted against it.
