Gareth Bale is in line to make his Spurs second debut after his return to the London club from Real Madrid.

The 31-year old could not partake in Wales 3-0 international friendly defeat with England last Thursday and the Nations League draw with Ireland on Sunday due to injury.

Ryan Giggs side will play their final game against Bulgaria on Wednesday before the resumption of Premier League matches from Saturday, October 17, 2020.

A knee injury has sidelined the expectation of the Real Madrid player who signed for a season loan and has been training with teammates at the Enfield Training Center throughout the week.

He is in the cards to feature in Spurs Premier League home game with West Ham United.

Jose Mourinho’s men were 6-1 victors against Manchester United at Old Trafford before the international break and would be hoping to build on that.

The addition of their former player is a plus for Mourinho on his pursuit to get the former Champions League finalists back to the top four and win a few trophies during his term.

"I think by going to Madrid, winning trophies and going far with the national team I feel like I have that kind of winning mentality, how to win trophies," Bale said after he was officially confirmed as a Spurs player.

"You don't realise it until you're there and in those situations, in finals, how to kind of deal with the situation, the nerves, the pressure, and I think that all goes with experience.

"Hopefully I can bring that to the dressing room, bring a bit more belief to everybody that we can win a trophy, and the target is to do that this season, to be fighting on every front possible. I want to bring that mentality here, back to Tottenham."

Spurs are sixth on the Premier League table with seven points, three behind fifth-place Liverpool.

His last Tottenham appearance came in 2013, before his £75m move to Real Madrid.
