Ayikoi Otoo In Big Trouble For Attacking Integrity Of President Of GDLA
THE PRESIDENTand Founder of the Ga-Dangme Lands Administration (GDLA),King Ayi Tunmaa II, has described as shameful and disgusting the current unprinted remarks publicly made against him by Nii Ayikoi Otoo, who is holding himself as the President of the GaDangme Council.

Describing the statement as misleading and unacceptable, King Ayi Tunnmaa II, who double as indigenous Chief of Defence of the Ga Dangme Kingdom, from the Tunma Royal Dynasty (The Founder of Akra or Accra), stressed that looking at personal credential of Nii Ayikoi Otoo, he should be the last person to make such unguarded comments against him .
He expressed disappointment in Nii Ayikoi Otoo for attacking his integrity at the crucial moment that the citizens of GaDangme community are working assiduously to resolve the problems with land, double sale of land, the disturbances among others in GaDangme.

King Ayi Tunnmaa II found it extremely difficult to understand the reasons for which Nii Ayikoi Otoo should referred to him as rabble rouser who is misleading his followers such as unsuspecting Asafoiatsemei and unemployed youth promising them non-existent jobs.
According to Ga traditional ruler, Nii Ayikoi Otoo's beef with him has stemmed from the current inauguration of the GaDangme Land Administration of which "I am the President and Founder."
"During our inauguration, we stated clearly our mandates. Indeed, problems with land, double sale of land, the disturbances among others are rife in GaDangme," he explained.
He said the formation of GaDangme Land Administration stems from the moves by the Chiefs and High Priests of the Ga/Dangme Community have in unison to carry out a bold agenda to administer and appropriate all lands and royalties due the Ga state and the entire Greater Accra Region.
The move, according to the Ga Traditional ruler, is to consolidate their traditional powers over Ga Lands to ensure sanity, order and security of landed properties bequeathed to them by their ancestors.
To that effect, he indicated that the four overlords of the Ga State, namely, thee Ga-Tse of the Tunnmma Royal Dynasty– the Crown King of Akra and the General Overseer, the Shi-Tse, the High-Priest of the Nungua Clan of the Ga State, the Nai-Wulomo, the High-Priest of the Ga State, and the Asere Clan of the Ga State have caused to be formed an organization called, the Ga/Dangme Lands Administration (GDLA) to spearhead these grand agenda.
The GDLA according to its mandate; is to resolve all land litigations, chieftaincy litigations within the Ga/Dangme Traditional Area. The Organization also has a quest to ensure that the Ga/Dangme communities become the most peaceful and happiest place to live and invest in.
He added that the GDLA  has resolved to bring the Ga/Dangme people together as one unique people with a common cultural heritage.
According to him, the formation of the GDLA is backed by law as it functions as a Traditional Arbitration office, which is within the remit of the Alternative Dispute Resolution Act 2010(Act 798).
Nii Ayi Tunnmaa II further buttressed his point by quoting the Lands Act 2020 (Act 1035) which states that “An action concerning any land or interest in land in a registration district shall not be commenced in any court unless the procedures for resolution of disputes under the Alternative Resolution Act 2010 (Act 798) have been exhausted.”
He said the act confers on the four overlords or Traditional Authorities of the Ga/Dangme States as earlier mentioned and by extension the GDLA which was birthed by the traditional Authorities the right of arbitration.
He added that the GDLA has come to ensure and enforce a well-coordinated and negotiated land management policy for the Ga Dangme Communities to ensure their well-being and human capital development.
Sounding traditional, King Ayi Tunnmaa II cautioned Nii Ayikoi Otoo to shut up, stressing  that Nii Ayikoi Otoo has no traditional authority to interfere in the administrative affairs of the existing GDLA.
"I will urge Nii Ayikoi Otoo to stay off the activities of the GDLA and focus on whatever he is doing; in any case, who appointed him as president of GaDangme Council?
"I and the GDLA family will not entertain any further interference from his end, and are ever ready to fight for our constitutional right. He is just doing this for his own parochial interest and not for Ga-Dangme people," King Ayi Tunnmaa II jabbed Nii Ayikoi Otoo
The argument of King Ayi Tunnmaa II was contained in a two page rejoinder to shapely respond to the current verbal attack hauled on King Ayi Tunnmaa II by Nii Ayikoi Otoo which has created tension and confusion in the Ga state.
Below is the rejoinder
REJOINDER: Nii Ayikoi Otoo Has No Authority To Interfere In GDLA Affairs
My attention has been drawn to a statement by Nii Ayikoi Otoo, who is holding himself as the President of the GaDangme Council.
In that statement, he referred to me as rabble rouser who is misleading his followers such as unsuspecting Asafoiatsemei and unemployed youth promising them non-existent jobs.
His beef with me stems from the inauguration of the GaDangme Land Administration (GDLA), of which I am the President and Founder.
During our inauguration, we stated clearly our mandates. Indeed, problems with land, double sale of land, the disturbances among others are rife in GaDangme.
The GDLA has been launched to sanitize the system from its current murky state and bring closure stop to the endless land litigations as well as chieftaincy disputes.
The GDLA will advocate, counsel and advice various lands and chieftaincy disputes across Greater Accra region.
Currently the GDLA has been given authority to exist as a legal entity by Registrar-General as Non-Governmental Organisation; hence we will liaise with the police administration and other security agencies to bring a lasting solution to land and chieftaincy disputes.
It is sad to know that Nii Ayikoi Otoo cannot understand the GDLA’s mandate.
To me, Nii Ayikoi Otoo is showing to the whole world his unreadiness to see the end of land litigations in Ga State, obviously because he might be benefitting hugely from these illegalities.
Nii Ayikoi Otoo must know that I am a true indigene of the land, and will always do what is good for the people.
How can he labelled the Ga Dangme lands Administration as a Scam? What has he done for the people from time immemorial ?  Is he the repository of wisdom that everyone should consult before things are done?
We have earlier accorded him that respect of visiting him and putting before him, the vision, mission and mandate of the GDLA.
As sons of the land we thought, we could work together for the benefit of our beloved people, but unfortunately he had different agenda or better still want the current  confusion on land matters to remain.
We owe him nothing apart from that.
GDLA is here to stay and neither Nii Ayikoi Otoo nor his surrogates can stop its activities.
He also claims that GDLA has stole its letterhead which they are opposed to. As the leader of the organisation, I'm stating categorically that we have not used someone's letterhead.

We are not under any obligation  to join the 19 Traditional councils in Greater Accra region and they can do whatever pleases them.
The proposed GDLA office complex will certainly go ahead, and  the machinations of people such as him can't stop it.
I will urge Nii Ayikoi Otoo to stay off the activities of the GDLA and focus on whatever he is doing; in any case, who appointed him as president of GaDangme Council?
I and the  GDLA family will not entertain any further interference from his end, and are ever ready to fight for our constitutional right. He is just doing this for his own parochial interest and not for Ga-Dangme people.
