Arsenal have restored interest in Philippe Coutinho.

Sport in Spain has revealed that the Gunners are in urgent need of the former Liverpool midfielder as the transfer window gradually gets to its closing stage.

Coutinho and Willian are represented by Kia Joorabchian, who earlier dismissed any Premier League move for his client, who the, had brought his Bayern Munich loan spell to a close.

Kia speaking on talkSPORTS disclosed how clubs wanted to acquire the services of the ‘little magician’ due to their failure to meet Barcelona’s price demand but Koeman's appointment as the new Blaugranas boss changed everything.

“Koeman called him right after the Champions League victory with Bayern, the following day, and told him he’s very much in his plans and would like him to return,” he said on talkSPORTS.

“He was due to return on September 7 but actually he returned at the beginning of September because he didn’t want to lose his momentum and fitness, and he’s been training with Barcelona.

“All signs point to the fact Barcelona have changed quite dramatically, the way their philosophy of how they wanted to move forward from last year and the players they’ve brought in, like Coutinho, Dembele, and Griezmann they’re all going to be part of the squad this year.”

Coutinho's return from Bayern after winning the treble has seen him win the MVP in the Joan Gamper Trophy against Elche.

Arsenal now seems to have weighed their options and believes that the inclusion of the Brazilian will embolden their squad as they seek to return to the glorious days but Koeman is not ready to let the 28-year old leave the Camp Nou in such a time when the midfielder's service is required the most.
