'Arsenal Can’t Win Premier League Title' –Ian Wright
Wright has backed Arteta to remain as Arsenal coach even if they fall to lift the title
Arsenal legend, Ian Wright, has claimed it will be difficult for his former team to win the Premier League title this season.
Mikel Arteta’s men are currently third on the table with 27 points after 12 matches.
They are only one point below Manchester City and level with Liverpool in second place.
Arsenal almost won the title last season after leading the back for 248 days, but eventually finished second to City.
Speaking on the Stick To Football YouTube channel, Wright backed Arteta to remain as Arsenal coach even if they fall to lift the title.
“I don’t think so, it would depend on the manner.
"He’s making decisions already, he’s brought the goalkeeper in, people are questioning some of his signings. I think he’s somebody who is very tunnel vision in what he wants to do. And I think he’ll be judged at the end of the season if he can do it.
“But I feel to try and chase down Manchester City with what they are doing, the margins what you are trying to gain are very tough and it’s going to be tough for anybody to try and do it, not just Mikel,” Wright said.
