The dominance of the ruling New Patriotic Party is set to end as the National Democratic Congress' parliamentary hopeful, Paul Osae Offei pledges to break what he termed, "NPP dominance" in the constituency.

Having worked in several places of influence and decision-making, Mr. Osae Offei noted he is in the best position to deliver the needed change in Akuapem South.

Being an indigene of Akuapem South, Mr. Paul Offei Osae is confident of having the challenges of Akuapem South at his fingertips.

"It is proper to send one who knows the road than one who will now be seeking the chance to locate the road", he stressed.

He reiterated the urgent need for development in Akuapem South and therefore committed to bringinging development to the area when he wins.

This, according to the parliamentary hopeful, Paul Osae Offei will enable the people of the strategically-positioned Akuapem South to breathe some wind of development.

"When you come to Akuapem South, it is as if we do not have anyone representing us in Parliament. While many Members of Parliament are lobbying for developmental projects, our current MP is doing virtually nothing to develop Akuapem South. "The Member of Parliament is shy of development, he disclosed in an exclusive interview with Soireenews.com. He made the observation in Aburi on Sunday, January 28, 2023, where Mr. Paul Osae Offei declared his intentions to contest the parliamentary seat on the ticket of NDC in the upcoming 2024 elections.

Mr. Offei believes that statistics in his possession coupled with his rich experience indicate that the NDC is in the right position to annex the seat for the NDC.

On his part, the Constituency Chairman, Kwadjo Okyere believes that Mr. Offer is a good candidate.

He said it will not be proper for the constituency executives to root for one candidate at the moment since other candidates are yet to make their intentions known.

"The leadership role is not to throw support for any candidate at this stage but when a candidate finally emerges after the primaries, then they can go all out for that candidate. We do not want to make any mistake of supporting any candidate and if that candidate fails to win the primaries, we will find it difficult to work with the one won had won", he aaid.

" We have learned our mistakes", he adadded.

"Much as he believed NDC will win the upcoming 2024 elections, he said winning the Akuapem South seat will make much difference therefore a solid candidate is needed to help the party win the Akuapem South seat", the Constituency Chairman, Mr. Kwadjo Okyere said.
