"The utter disregard by Ghanaians for Ghana Made products for foreign ones is a contributor to the continuous dwindling of Ghana's economy, the Bono East, Ahafo and Northern Regional promoter of Kantanka Automobile, Mr. Afful Manu Benjamin has said.

This, according to him, will have been the disincentive for Ghana's economic growth.
Mr. Awful made the observation recently in a radio interview with Tain FM on Anopa Nkomo expressing worry over the preference for foreign products to the locally made questioning their durability.
His charge follows the unrepentant advice by the Inspector General of Police(IGP), Mr. George Akuffo Danpare for personnel to procure their vehicles from Kantanka Automobile company(KAC) in order to save the country a lot of revenue.
This current admonition if heeded would be next to that of the National Identification Authority(NIA) which has already made successful moves and procured vehicles for the use of their personnel.
" Initially, the National Identification Authority has had there and now, the police service.
I am so much happy on this move which tells how some institutions are encouraging our local products to penetrate the market", he stated.
The KAC promoter underscored the urgent need for the right and systematic approach to mitigate and correct the assertion that foreign goods better stand out from locally produced ones.
"If we believe that God Almighty has distributed gifts to everyone and expected to be put to good use and to the benefit of humanity, then why must we show disdain for Ghanaian products",? he quizzed.
"... we must propel Ghanaian businesses with a transformational mindset and the right attitude of 'can do' injected into the Ghanaian, soon we will see the Ghanaian businesses thriving", Mr. Manu who also doubles as the proprietor of the Star of the World Montessori Academy assured.
He was optimistic that with the right mindset, Ghanaian businesses would scale unbelievable heights.
While expressing worry over what he termed sitting aloof over wonderful and tenable ideas and glorifying foreign products, he urged Ghanaians to trumpet products from the land
He applauds those earlier institutions who have expressed confidence in locally produced goods and urged others to emulate for the better good of the state.
"But for me, it is not enough, schools, health services, and other institutions should come on board to make demands for local products in other to boost and encourage local factories to step up productivity," he observed.
In the end, the Kantanka Advocate called for a change of mind to embrace made-in Ghana products to aid the country raise more revenue for development.
