A Teacher Arrested for Allegedly Butchered a Student at Wassa Sompre.

A 40-year-old professional teacher has been arrested by the police after allegedly butchering one of his students.

This incident happened at Wassa Sompre in Amenfi Central of the Western Region yesterday November 30th 2022 aroun7:00 pmpm.

Speaking to an eyewitnesses, they said four (4) male students in the same school with the teacher allegedly went to the teacher’s maize farm to steal some of the maize and upon a tip-off, the teacher went to the farm to see the four students in his maize farm stealing some of the mazes.

The students immediately saw the teacher and started running while the teacher pursue them with his cutlass

Three (3) students out of the four (4) were able to run faster than the teacher who left their colleague behind who was not lucky and caught by their teacher.

Unfortunately for him, the teacher apprehended him after a hot chase and butchered him with his cutlass.

He cut him from behind with a deep cut on his back and wounded him but the cry and pain of the student alerted the nearby residents to come to his rescue.

The student has been admitted to the hospital and is currently receiving treatment at the Sompre hospital while the suspected teacher has been arrested by the Police in Wassa Sompre.

The Police have since undisclosed the identity of the teacher for security reasons and said investigations are ongoing.
