95% Completed Teachers Bungalow In Breman Asikuma SHS Turned Into Toilet Facility

95 per cent of completed teachers bungalow at Breman Asikuma in the Asikuma Odoben Brakwa district of the Central Region has been left to rot in the bush for almost 17 years.

The building with six apartments which is a GETFUND project has been turned into a toilet space by residents.

Speaking to Central Regional Soireenews Correspondent, Abusuapanyin Kojo Ahinful, some of the teachers have been complaining that they rent apartments from different places which cost them much. They have therefore pleaded to GETFUND to complete it as soon as possible to reduce the burden on them.

According to them, a lot of letters have been sent to GETFUND to complete the project but there has not been any feedback and it has taken some of the teachers to clear the site to free the projects from the wild bushes.

Investigations gathered by Soireenews indicates that the project was started in 2004 and about 95 per cent has been completed since. The rest has been left in ruins becoming a white elephant as some community members began using the place as a toilet facility.

The roofing sheet, ceiling and window frames have also started rotting.
