Aspiring candidate of Ejisu Constituency of the New Patriotic Party, Abena Pokuaa Amoah says political women have unique experience to resolve challenges during country administration hence the need to give them an opportunity to serve.

She added that with the temperament of the former Ejisuhemaa, Nana Yaa Asantewaa, she can put in better directives to help progress the Ejisu constituency.

“Women have unique experience and are dedicated to every course.

"They always stand unique in their performances and very good managers. I know the race is not easy but I believe with the perseverance of Obaa Yaa Asantewaa, I can win and overcome,” she said.

Ms Amoah is challenging the seat from Hon. Owusu Aduomi and it's her second time after flopping in 2012.

According to her, the incumbent Member of Parliament has failed to live up to expectation after observing joblessness and the lack of women empowerment in the Municipality. According to her, although her dreams of winning the primaries and contesting in the general elections did not go as expected yet she is certain that the nod will be given this time to be heard.

“The women in the constituency needs to be empowered whiles the youth demand for jobs. I do not see why I should not contest I such a time. I was in the race in 2012 when the constituency used to be Ejisu Juaben. Things did not go as expected yet I always keep trying AND know that someday, my voice would be heard because the country demands more women,” she addressed.

“I am part of the three contestants and will do my best when given the mandate in the 2020 parliamentary elections.

"It’s always needful to have a profession and that has been my priority in the Municipality anytime I meet up with them to find solutions of empowerment and how their requests would be looked into.

Revealing her vetting experience minutes after the process, she asserted that the questions were demanding and commended the executives for their directives to move the party forward through refined way of choosing leaders.

“I am done with vetting but unlike the previous years, it’s very strict,” she humbly said.

“The questions were very tough but I played my part to respond to them as required. I am the number one candidate during the voting and it’s indeed a good sign from God. The contest is tough but with humility, I can overcome.

"I am a unifier to the fraction in the Ejisu constituency. I demand the votes from both sides and after that bring them together and make them a part of my administration,” she added.
