Dani Ceballos has made known of how he enjoys life at Arsenal in the care of Mikel Arteta although Real Madrid has the final say on his career and he respects what their decision will be after pre-season.

Arteta, who took over from Unai Emery earlier spoke of how the Madrid loanee has developed his game.

Initially, the London club planned not to extend Ceballos loan following a short term extension before the restart but recent upgrade in the 24-year old’s performance has initiated talks between the two clubs, which would determine the stance of the player.

Madrid are considering recalling the attacking midfielder yet the player has defined the Premier League as his place of interest with the Gunners, having won the FA cup two weeks ago.

"The truth is that I'm happy at Arsenal," Ceballos told Sky Sports.

"It's a club where I've already had a year's experience, so it would be easy for me to go back.

"I wouldn't have to adapt to a new club or a new league.

"I think it would be a good step for me, but my future depends on Madrid and I still don't know what their decision is."

Dani Ceballos signed for Real Madrid in 2017 on a six-year contract, for a transfer fee of around €18 million from Real Betis. He made 24 appearances for the Gunners this season and looks to join Zidane’s men to complete a pre-season before his future would be decided.

"After the season I have to be calm," Ceballos said.

"I have to return to Madrid and they have to make a decision because I still have three years left on my contract.

"Once I know their decision, I'll have to sit down with my family and we'll see what's best for me next year."
