World Bank halts Tunisia talks over migrants row

Following President Kais Saied's recent criticism of sub-Saharan migration, the World Bank has halted discussions about its future relationship with Tunisia.

David Malpass, the bank's departing CEO, claimed that Mr. Saied's comments had led to racial harassment and even bloodshed in Tunisia.

Although he added that recent actions taken by the Tunisian government to assist migrants were positive, he described the situation as extremely troubling.
