Western Region, Nzema East MUSEC Apprehend 4 Chinese And Ghanaian Nationals For Illegal Mining
The 5 illegal miners are currently at Axim Divisional Police Command to assist in Investigations.
Alex Donkor Four Chinese Nationals Including a Ghanaian involved in illegal mining have been apprehended by the Municipal Security Council of Nzema East of the Evalue Ajomoro-Gwira Constituency in the Western Region.
The illegal chinese miners include
Li Hung Ta, Bao Lin, Qianxi Uuana, Zhi Zhong Xin and Kweiku Zack (Ghanaian).
The operation to climbed down illegal miners by Nzema East Municipal security Council took place at a hideout called 42 area in Bamiako and its environs.
Nzema East Municipal security Council were able to seize two pump action gun, one Chanfan machine, among others items.
The Municipal Chief Executive for Nzema East, Dorcas Elizabeth Amoah in an interview with soireenews said, many people have targeted Nzema East to engage in galamsey activities where they have polluted the river bodies that serves as means of water to nearby communities in the Municipality.

Madam Dorcas Elizabeth Amoah emphasized that, the operation would be a continuous activity to minimize the activities of galamsey in the Nzema East Municipality.
