To fill newly constructed Pentecost prisons with inmates and generate revenue, Parliament passed the LGBTQI bill—Wanlov

The LGBTQI bill was enacted by the Ghanaian parliament for reasons stated by Emmanuel Owusu-Bonsu, also known as Wanlov the Kubolor in the showbiz community, who claimed that the measure had a secret objective.

Wanlov asserts that the LGBTQI bill's true purpose was to generate revenue for the recently constructed Pentecost jails.

He claims that because of "those Pentecost prisons they have built, those three large Pentecost prisons," he sees it as an economic opportunity. As things now, if someone goes and beats a gay person, they will arrest them because it is against the law to physically harm someone. If they begin to arrest abusers and proponents today.

The musician says the country's leaders have chosen to put a certain group of people behind bars because so many people have invested so much money in the recently built prisons. He believes that one way to profit from the prisoners is to put them to work.

As of right now, the only entity or individual who stands to gain from the law is the one who paid for the jails that were constructed. I can see that they deliberated and made the decision to farm a particular ethnic group in Ghana. Put them in jails, farm them like livestock, and profit from them. They are able to monetize the government. Other than that they can use them to do full work”, he added.

According to a rumor going around social media, Ghana's parliament has signed legislation supporting human sexual rights and family values—commonly referred to as the Anti-LGBTQI Bill—into law.

According to a report by Citi FM, an Accra-based publication, the law was approved by the Ghanaian parliament following a thorough examination.

This comes after Professor Audrey Gadzekpo, the board chair of the Ghana Center for Democratic Development (CDD-Ghana), urged President Akufo-Addo to veto the bill.

The recently approved bill forbids LGBT activities and states that those who do them would face a jail sentence ranging from six months to three years, while those who encourage or sponsor the act might face a sentence of three to five years in prison.
