Ghanaian artiste has cleared the air about rumours of her once being a stripper.

The musician stated that although there is nothing wrong with being a stripper, she has never been engaged in the act herself.

She said this in a phone interview with the Supreme Selector DJ AdvicerHappy FM’s Ayekoo After-Drive show when asked if she had a history of stripping like Cardi B due to the sensual nature of her music videos.

“I’ve never stripped before. There’s nothing wrong with strippers but I’ve never stripped before. Why would I have to strip?” she said.

According to her, it is natural for people to feel like she was once a stripper since a lot of people do not know much about her life.

Stephanie maintained that she cannot blame the speculations and conclusions that people jump to based on the available information since she is not really big on putting her life out there for people to see.

The songstress explained that she usually quiet about her life because she naturally does not feel the need to please anyone.

“I don’t have to tell you what I’ve done, who I’ve been with or where I’ve worked for you to respect me. If you wanna respect me, respect me. If you don’t, I don’t care. You can talk as much as you want but it doesn’t affect me. I think being seductive is a part of who I am. It’s always been a part of my act for a very long time”.

She further explained that it's up to Ghanaians to accept her the way she has presented herself or not, as she does not really care what else they think of her because she will not prove anything to anyone.

In her words, her talent speaks for itself and she has written music with and for many other big acts internationally so there's no question in her own mind about her relevance.

This she says is enough for her.
