Ole Gunnar Solskjaer says he is delighted with Manchester United’s transfer business so far.

The manager although refused to speak about other club’s dealings yet he believes that a player would be brought in before the transfer window ends in October.

The Red Devils have managed to bring in Donny van de Beek from Ajax after stalling on Jadon Sancho’s deal for quiet sometimes devising no new strategies to lessen Dortmund’s hefty asking price.

“Of course we've done some business with Donny,” the United boss.

“I'm very happy, delighted to get him in – exceptional smashing lad, very good player that will give us something.

United over the years have brought in younger players from their academy to strengthen the squad – Mason Greenwood, Williams, McTominay, and a few. Their company has been of great implication to the United squad as they help the club to secure top-four spot this season for the Champions League.

The Norwegian manager for the Red Devils believes that fostering the younger ones to be effective in the squad is another important section that needs to be looked up even though he still believes in making big signings.

“You know I can't say anything about other clubs' players out of respect to them. I can't speculate. But we understand that to get even further 1) we need to develop what we have, 2) we're also looking to strengthen the team, of course, we are.

“Let's just wait and see if we manage to bring anyone in. I've been in dialogue with the club, of course, we're always discussing and hopefully, let's see if we can bring anyone in.”

Man United will welcome Crystal Palace to Old Trafford on Saturday in their first Premier League game.
