Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has hit back at Mini Raiola after his side’s Champions League exit on Tuesday night.

Paul Pogba’s agent on Monday signalled that his client is not happy at Manchester United and its time the Red Devils realise his time at Old Trafford is over.

“Paul is unhappy with Man United as he is no longer able to express himself in the way that he would like and as he is expected to,” Raiola said in an interview with Tuttosport.

“Paul needs a new team, a change of air. He is under contract for the next 18 months and it will expire in the summer of 2022.

“However, I think that the best solution for both Pogba and Man Utd is that he goes in the next transfer window. If not, the Old Trafford club know that they risk losing him on a free transfer as it is not Paul's intention to extend his contract.

Raiola received lots of criticism from football pundits, with Gray Lineker questioning the timing of his message.

“Not quite over. There’s a pretty big game to play tomorrow for starters. You’d think he might bear that in mind,” Gary wrote.

Paul Pogba was on the scoresheet on Tuesday night after United were kicked out of the Champions League by last season's semifinalist, RB Leipzig.

The Red Devils failed to complete a comeback when they conceded two quick goals in less than 15-minutes in the first half to lose by 3-2.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer after the game hit back at the agent’s assertions and slammed his misinforming comments.

"The squad is fine - they're a team and they stick together," Solskjaer told Sky Sports.

"As soon as Paul's agent realizes this is a team sport and we work together, the better. That's probably maybe the last thing I say on that. I don't want to spend energy on that."

"You'll have to ask Paul. I'm not going to speak for him. Paul's focused on doing his best for the team. He's working hard in training.

"Now is not the time to discuss ins and outs at the club."
