Residents Go Wild On Politicians Over Failed Campaign Promises, Threaten To Boycott 2024 Elections

The Nananom (chiefs) of Ekumfi Asaafa have expressed worry and neglect for voting for politicians and have promised to boycott the upcoming 2024 general elections over failed campaign promises. Speaking to the media, the Omankrado for the area, Nana Eku II explained that, politicians have been playing on their intelligence with campaign promises which they promised to construct their roads linking to Mankessim-Cape Coast highway but all attempts made by the community to support the development proved futile, hence called on the residents of Asaafa not to entertain any politician this time round. “How could you play on our intelligence just for your selfish interest? We find difficulties in accessing the roads in Ekumfi District and the most annoying aspect is that at times your family members even can’t recognize your identity all because of not having motorable roads in the area”. On their part, the regents of Asaafa, Nana Kojo Osam, and n Mother Esi Eduah also appealed to the government to as matter of urgency come to their aid immediately alleviating the basic social amenities challenges in the area which includes poor roads network, inadequate facilities, teaching and learning materials for the basic school, toilet facility among others
