Liverpool is likely to disappoint a host of fans expecting the signing of Thiago Alcantara from Bayern Munich.

The Spaniard has been linked with the Premier League champions but effort to secure the service of the 29-year old seems not promising amidst report that Liverpool have agreed on personal terms with the attacking midfielder.

Bayern earlier revealed that interested clubs must pay £25m for the Spaniard who has entered the year of his contract following seven years of playtime at the Allianz Arena.

The Red were reported to have offered £18m but Bayern rejected the offer, expecting a double figure of the former.
