Kumawood actor, Michael Afrane, has launched his nationwide tour dubbed: "Sankofa J.M" to campaign for the flagbearer of the  National Democratic Congress (NDC).

At the launch of the "Sankofa J.M" campaign in Kumasi, Tuesday, 18 August 2020, Mr. Afrane revealed that he will be visiting all the 16 regions across the country to spread the campaign message of the former President.

He explained that his major objective is to campaign against President Akufo-Addo because he deceived Ghanaians in 2016 with juicy promises stressing that he is only declaring his support for Mahama due to the incumbent president's betrayal.

The actor expressed his disappointment in President Akufo-Addo in an interview with Class News' Ashanti regional correspondent Elisha Adarkwah while pointing out the plethora of promises that the president has not fulfilled including the one-district-one-factory; $1 million per constituency amongst others.

Mr. Afrane officially declared his support for the flagbearer of the opposition NDC, John Mahama, and has now made known that he will campaign for him to win the election in December.

He called on Ghanaians to vote massively for Mr. Mahama to come back to power to avoid "tyrants" like Akufo-Addo who's only interest is in themselves.
