Staunch National Democratic Party supporters have called for the immediate release of Lawrence Nana Asiamah aka Bullgod. 

The artiste manager was reportedly apprehended by the Bureau of National Intelligence (BNI) unit of the Ghana Police Service late yesterday January 11, 2021, for threatening the president of Ghana, Nana Addo Dnakwah Akufo Addo.

His arrest, although not confirmed, gained credibility today from the words of Rex Omar, who claimed that Bullgod had really been arrested by "some boys from the flagstaff" house.

According to Rex Omar, Bullgod has been dumped at headquarters and the authorities there even do not know why he has been arrested.

Speculations point to the fact that Bullgod might have been arrested because he, on Saturday, 9th January on Mcbrown’s show on UTV in a disagreement with Afia Schwarzenegger threatened that President Akufo Addo will not finish his four-year term if he does not pay Menzgold customers.

The former artiste manager for Shatta Wale, who is now a brand manager at Zylofon Media, said this after Afia Schwarzenegger’s claim that Menzgold was a Ponzi scheme that was doom to fail from the beginning.

With the rumour gaining credibility with every second, NDC supporters have asked for the release of the artiste manager in what they said was a violation of his freedom of speech in the first place.

Most of the supporters took to social media to express their disappointment at President Akufo-Addo's alleged actions.

According to Bridget Otoo formerly of TV3, if Kennedy an Agyapong was not arrested by the BNI when he threatened to burn down ex-President Mahama's house why should Bullgod be arrested for his words?

She labelled the alleged action as a blatant disregard for human rights and a threat to democracy.
