More people are wanted in connection with a blasphemy death in Nigeria.

The "primary suspects" in the lynching of a female student in Nigeria's northern city of Sokoto have been proclaimed wanted by police.

In a video of the mob activity that was extensively posted on social media, police spokesperson Sanusi Abubakar said the suspects "claimed the murder of Deborah Samuel."

Some Muslim students were outraged when a female Christian student was accused of blasphemy against Islam at a college.

On Thursday of last week, a mob murdered her and burned her body on fire.

The authorities claim they're looking for the fleeing suspects and that the police force has used "all its intelligence" to apprehend them, and they're asking the public for help.

Authorities have not specified how many persons they are looking for.

In connection with the incident, two suspects apprehended at the site were charged in court and remanded in custody, according to police.

When they appeared in court on Monday, the two denied any involvement.
