Diego Llorente has joined Leeds United, the club have confirmed.

The 27-year old joined from LaLiga outfit, Real Sociedad for an undisclosed fee.

The Lily whites have played two games in the Premier League, starting with a loss against Liverpool before redeeming themselves against West Bromwich Albion on Saturday at Elland Road.

Marcelo Bielsa’s side have conceded seven goals in his two games which demanded a centre back to bolster the central defence of the Premier League club.

Llorente made 88 appearances over the last three seasons, scoring eight goals for the club, with his last outing coming 11 days ago, in their 1-1 draw with Valladolid.

He has won five international caps for Spain, with his last coming in the 2-1 victory over Romania in May 2019, whilst he was on the bench for their last two matches in September against Germany and Ukraine.

Leeds will visit the Bramall lane to play Chris Wilder’s Sheffield United on Sunday.
