Leaked Audio Exposes NDC Ward Chairman In Prestea! -Over His Plans To Mine Illegally In Forests If NDC Wins Power In 2024

The leaked recording audio intercepted by Soireenews.com has exposed the ward Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in Prestea Central in the Prestea Hunni-Valley Constituency of the Western Region, Mr. Fredinand Katu on his intended plan to carry out illegal small scale mining activities in the forest range reserves if the NDC wins political power in the 2024 general elections.

In the three minutes and twelve seconds audio, Mr. Katu was over heard discussion on how he and his followers were planning to consult the top shots of the NDC in regional and national levels to pave way for them secure environmental mining permits or licenses to mine in the forest range reserves in the Western Region 

The NDC Ward Chairman in the audio pointed out that when the NDC wins power in the 20224 general elections they were not going to work in Prestea Hunni-Valley Constituency level but they had planned to move to the national levels to meet the prominent national executives and council of elders of the NDC to okay them to operate the illegal small scale mining activities in the forest range reserves so that they would also make money.

In that audio, Mr. Katu pointed out that they were going to meet the top elders of the NDC in the National level so that each of the members and supporters of the NDC in the area would be eating by way of entering the forest reserves to do the work.

"When we win the power comes 2024 general elections, during this time round we are not going to consult any constituency executives for our help but we would go to the top levels of the NDC to seek the help from the elders of the party to do our works in the forest range reserves," the NDC chairman reaffirmed.

Mr Fredinand Katu mentioned that "he was sure that the former Prestea Hunni-Valley Constituency Chairman of the NDC, Mr Micheal Gbedama as he knows the elders of the NDC in the National levels used his position to lead them to see the top shots of the party for "us to also do the work in the forest range reserves when the party comes to power."

He said he was making this statement on the platform of the NDC and knows very well that nobody would leaked these sorts of information to other people.

In the audio, Mr Katu did not spared the Western Regional Chairman of the NDC who doubles as the one of chief linguists of Awudua community, Nana Toku, describing him as a wicked and selfish leader who is not working for the supreme interest of the party, but rather working to erich himself.

According to him, since Nana Toku has been elected chairman of the Western Region, he has not sent anybody to Mecca, Saudi Arabia.

Following this development, the NDC chairman dared Nana Toku to come out boldly to show to the general public how many people he has sent to the Mecca .

"We are also going to destroy Nana Toku. We will destroy Nana Toku. Because when the NDC comes to power then you don't mind us but when we go back to the opposition, it was then that you would be calling for us to come to support you.This time round everybody is thinking of himself. Because it said that God helps those who helped themselves, so if you would not help us, we are also not going to support you," Mr Katu stated in the audio.

Mincing no words, Mr. Katu stressed that "I am daring the gossipers to send this of my messages to Nana Toku, for him to come and face me and l will be bold to tell him my peace of mind."

He angrily asked that "Who is Nana Toku, does he be the one who is taking care of my life, saying that Nana Toku always lied."

"l am saying that if Nana Toku is a chief, he is the chief in Awudua community and that we are also living somewhere discussion the matters related to the NDC. Eye Zu Eye Za let us speak the truth to ourselves," Mr. Katu concluded.
