Kenya loses bid to host 2025 World Athletics Championships

Tokyo will host the 2025 World Athletics Championships after knocking out Singapore, Kenya, and Poland for the honor.
In making the announcement, World Athletics President Sebastian Coe noted that Tokyo stood out among a very competitive field of contenders.

Because of the coronavirus outbreak, Tokyo held a postponed Olympics behind closed doors the previous year.
