David Moyes says Jesse Lingard's inclusion to his squad will give the Hammers more attacking options ahead of their Premier League game against Liverpool.

The Manchester United forward is in London completing his medical ahead of finalizing his loan move to West Ham United, confirmed by sky sports on Friday.

The midfielder, 28, has been looking for a move elsewhere having made just three appearances for his boyhood club all season.

The announcement by the Hammers is imminent and per the words of the manager during his pre-match duty, his inclusion in the West Ham line up will strengthen his team as they challenge for top four this season.

"Jesse Lingard is here doing a medical at the moment, but it's not complete so I can't say too much more about it.

"If the Jesse deal goes through, he'll give us more attacking options - he can play in all the positions along the front line and as a midfield player as well. We've seen Andriy Yarmolenko come in and do well for us at centre-forward.

"I don't want to be in the position where we go bring someone in just for the sake of it. We made an offer for one or two players we would have liked.

"All we're doing is focusing on the game on Sunday and trying to get a result in that game."

West Ham will play Liverpool on Sunday at the London Stadium. David Moyes side are behind the champions and by two points and a win will get them back in the top four.
