Sarkodie has trashed the rumours that Nigeria is currently better off than Ghana.

He maintained that the Nigerian artists don't have it better than Ghanaians because they are always criticised by Nigerian journalists.

The "Highest" said this concerning the view that the Ghanaian media is always eager to criticise for the simplest reasons.

According to him, that view is wrong because it is the job of the various media outlets to point out the faults of performers so they can be better at representing the country.

Most stakeholders; Stonebwoy, Shatta Wale, Bulldog, KiDi, Kuami Eugene, Lydia Forson are of the opinion that Ghanaian bloggers are always quick to project negative news of the showbiz personalities.

In his most recent interview with a Nigerian journalist, Sarkodie has now defended the Ghanaian media by saying that of Nigeria is more condemning.

“Way back when I wasn’t visiting Nigeria, I had a different perception about the place but I think it is everywhere. Nigerians are even way too harsh as compared to Ghana in terms of media criticisms. They go very hard on their artists. When I listen to it sometimes, it’s unbelievable,”

“I’m not saying they shouldn’t criticize us but the agenda needs to be homegrown first,”

In reality, if there is anything Nigerian media is covering, it would be the horrible things that are currently happening in Nigeria to make it seem like they are better off than their neighbours.

Nigerian media criticise their artists any chance they get but the terrible in Nigeria are covered and it's so much worse than in Ghana because the citizens of Nigeria don't have what it takes to protest.

The people of Ghana still have the freedom to protest and see positive change come but the same can't be said for Nigeria where their protests are met with death, much like the Ejura shooting.
