Popular Nigeria-French Singer Asa has admitted to be a marlian even though Yahoo boys have once emptied her account.

Asa said this while declaring her admiration for Naira Marley who has a case in court for alleged credit card fraud.

Singer Asa has revealed that she was once a victim of internet criminals popular known as ‘Yahoo Boys’ in Nigeria.

Although she didn’t give many details, Asa revealed that Yahoo Boys emptied her bank account in 2019.

“Yahoo Boys emptied my bank account, but we won't go into that,” she said.

The conversation about Yahoo Boys started when the 37-year-old singer declared her admiration for controversial Nigerian rapper Naira Marley.

“I think I'm a Marlian. I love him, I think he is awesome,” Asa said during an interview with cool fm.

One of the interviewers pointed out the rapper’s association with Yahoo Boys which led Asa to make the revelation.

Naira Marley who is known as the president of the controversial fan base, “Marlians”,Naira Marley is said to have been a bad influence to the youth has he corrupt and encourage youth on bad acts.

The controversial artist has been most talked about artist after his case with EFCC of been accused a yahoo boy,some regard Naira Marley as a small god and other condemn him as a bad influence to the society.

His fan base increased on a daily bases as celebrities also call themselves “Marlians” has they vibes to his music.
