Human genitalia traffickers were apprehended selling severed genitalia.

Two men have been detained in Mozambique after they were discovered attempting to sell severed male human genitals for 35 million kwacha ($42,000; £33,000).

The organs are said to belong to a guy who was slain in the Milange district of Malawi's Zambézia province.

The suspected organ traffickers, who are 29 and 32 years old, are said to have approached a local dealer and offered to buy the organs.

António Chicopa, the trader, alerted local authorities, who set up an ambush for the accused.

The two suspects are being held in police custody and will be sent to court soon.

Mr. Chicopa claims that as a result of his role in the arrests, he has been shunned by the public.

"When those men told me about the agreement, I was the one who alerted the cops." I dispatched the chief of [police] operations, as well as other officers, to the location. "I'm not sure why people are accusing me now," he is reported as saying by the local news outlet Opens.

The matter is still being investigated, according to Milange district commander Alice Evaristo.

"I can affirm that a person was murdered and his organs were extracted. "This is real, and we're working to learn more about the situation," he said.
