Jack Grealish’s responsibility to Aston Villa as a captain is to make sure they remain in the Premier League before other matters.

The player refused to update his current status as to whether he will stay at Villa Park or would be in new colors with another Premier League club next season. The 23-year old is contracted to Dean Smith’s side until June 2023 and has been linked with different English Premier League clubs including the two Manchester teams.

He was exceptional in Aston Villa’s 1-0 victory over Arsenal on Tuesday night following Trezeguet’s strike, which shifted Villa from the relegation zone on goal difference. They will have to secure a win against the Hammers away from home if they want to be part of next season’s campaign.

"I have one aim and that is to keep this club in the Premier League, where this whole fan base know we belong.

"That's all I'm thinking about at the moment and hopefully we can do that on Sunday."

He has made 35 appearances for Villa in the Premier League this season and has scored seven goals with six assists.
