A call has been made to the State investigative agencies--Office of Special Prosecutor (OSP), Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) and Commission on Human Rights and Administrative Justice (CHRAJ) to probe the Vice President, Dr Alhaji  Mahamudu Bawumia and Governor of Bank of Ghana (BoG), Dr. Ernest Kwamina Yedu Addison on what they described a dirty deal of Ghana's "Galamsey" E-Cedi.

The E-Cedi is a central bank digital currency (CBDC) for Ghana. In June 2021, he announced the development of the E-Cedi.
CBDC currencies are digital currencies that digitize a country's fiat currency. Electronic tokens backed by the Ghana government will replace coin minting or printing paper notes.[
They indicated that Power Distribution Services (PDS) Limited scandal and many other very serious fraud and corruption scandals have seemingly been ignored by the State investigative agencies--Office of Special Prosecutor, Economic and Organised Crime Office and Commission on Human Rights and Administrative Justice.
They expressed wonder that the Gold-For-Oil and GoldMafia Documentary indicting Akufo Addo and his government have to be investigated.
According to them, the Agyaapa Mineral Royalties Scandal, AMERI-NOVATION, GNPC-AKER, GNPC-PetroSA, GNPC-Cash Dole Out must all be on the front burner, if Ghana is to recover its stolen wealth for which the country is bankrupt and currently at the mercy of the IMF and World Bank while Ghanaians suffer excruciating economic hardships.
They pointed out that after the Bank of Ghana launched the e-Cedi there has been very little heard of it.
They said the the implosion of the cryptocurrency industry makes an investigation into Ghana's e-Cedi inevitable.
They asserted that the the Greening Ghana Tree Planting hoaxand the Land Looting under Samuel Abu Jinapor must be audited just like the Galamsey menace currently being investigated by the Special Prosecutor.
According to Ghanaians, there should be no secrecy in the investigation into unexplained wealth and profiting from proceeds of corruption. 
They stressed the need for the Special Prosecutor to make public the Galamsey Investigations currently underway.
They said the reported arrest, Ilinterrogation and bail of Prof. Frimpong-Boateng, who is the former chairman of the Cabinet Interministerial Committee Against Illegal Mining along with a number of unnamed sitting and Former Ministers as well as an unspecified number of unnamed politically exposed persons is most unhelpful.
"Particularly after the Prof. Frimpong-Boateng Galamsey Report has been put in the public domain, indicting nearly everybody in government and the ruling NPP.," they argued.
They indicated that the fact that Nana Addo did nothing about the Prof. Frimpong-Boateng Galamsey Report for two (2) years and the government has only rubbished it after it became public is very worrisome. 
They asserted the the fact that Galamsey is an existential threat to Ghana and Ghanaians,
According to them, the fact that Galamsey constitutes Corruption and threatens the lives and livelihoods of Ghanaians, the entire Forest reserves of Ghana, its Rivers and Water Bodies, its Cocoa and farmlands among others makes it the number one public interest matter today.

They asserted that a number of persons indicted by Prof. Frimpong-Boateng in his Galamsey Report have sued him, this must not stop the arrests, investigations, and prosecutions.
They stressed that the Parliament must take a lead role in the Galamsey trial which cannot and must not be highjacked by anybody or State Agencies.*
"Everybody must be held accountable, those in power today inclusive... said Prof. Frimpong-Boateng  who added that the Kyebi residence and private garden of Akufo Addo must be forensically investigated," they stressed.
