Ghanaian actress, Yvonne Nelson has said that Ghanaians are suffering because they don't understand the use of English.

According to her, politicians always use English to confuse Ghanaians and steal from them because they have realised this particular loophole.

She stated that Ghanaian politicians now know to speak grammar if they want to deal with issues with Ghanaians as they know that the people have little understanding of the Queen's language.

Yvonne Nelson, who mentioned that she will soon join politics to liberate her people from the oppression of Ghana's current evil leaders, opined that billions of cedis have been stolen from the country on the basis of good grammar. 

“English English….. but majority of Ghanaians don’t understand English, they stand before the people and speak what the people don't understand. Serving the people? Naaa make them understand you! Using ENGLISH to steal..from the people who queue to vote for u”.

“Ghanaians are still SLEEPING, Ooooh! But trust me! TIME is coming! We the PEOPLE will rise up!!!!” she wrote on her Twitter feed.

Yvonne Nelson has taken it upon herself, together with other celebrities, to add more voices to the masses in protests against the energy crisis in her country. She led a peaceful vigil called DumsorMustStop on May 16, 2015. The hashtag #dumsormuststop is currently used on social media to amplify the concerns of Ghanaians with regards to the energy crisis.

Yvonne, known to be very vocal lately about political issues in the country lamented the lack of development in Ghana since the country attained her independence in 1957. She told the BBC in an interview that she may consider running for political office in the future.

Actress Yvonne Nelson tweeted that she is looking forward to the day Ghanaians would refuse to vote in presidential elections to send a message to politicians.
