Get To Know The History Behind The Statue In Abuakwa State College
Old students express how one could be suspended if you caught talking bad about the statue
Abuakwa State College is a Senior High School located in the Eastern Region of Ghana. The School has shaped a lot of great people in the country and beyond. There is a well-known statute in the school and this is the history behind that statute.
When you enter Abuakwa State College popularly called Abusco, you will see a statue in front of their administration block. The statue involves a male and female student hugging each other while holding a book. Again male is seen holding the female tight in his arms.
That statue was built to show "unity and academic excellence". Some people are also of the view that it's just a funny statue and should be removed. One guy on social media recounted how people were suspended in the school because of the statute.
I think the motive behind the statue is good but the statue itself is questionable. Just look at the position of the hand of the guy in the statue. Please comment below your thoughts about this famous statue
We do not blame them, even the students of the school had issues with this statute especially with the position of the hand of the male. This generation needs sanctification because we are really spoilt. Let us take a look at some comments I compiled.
