Eric ten Hag has shunned Tottenham Hotspurs links and committed his future to Ajax on a new contract that runs till 2023.

The Dutch coach hinted that a move to the Premier League club could have happened yet he still believes in the hard work he has put in Dutch club and sees a bright future ahead.

"I know who I am working with, I know what the ideas are, I know what goals we have and I'm happy here," said Erik ten Hag as he signed a contract extension at Ajax.

His contract extension may have come as a surprise to many who tipped him to replace Jose Mourinho.

According to the 51- year old, the good job he is on at Ajax is the result of the links to Spurs and he is content with it.

“I'm busy with where I am at, that's at Ajax, that's where my head and heart are at,” he added in a club statement.

“You know what it is like with outside of football rumour…it tells you that we're doing good work at Ajax.

“I don't want to rule out that that could have happened, but I know what I have here.”

Ten Hag is now out of Spurs radar leaving the Three Lions manager Gareth Southgate and Brendan Rodgers of Leicester City.
