Don’t vote because of celebrity endorsements - Bridget Otoo
Communication specialist, Bridget Otoo, says Sarkodie and Samini’s endorsements of Akufo-Addo should not influence elections
Bridget Otoo has warned Ghanaians to vote for the presidential candidate with the best policies instead of the one with the most "celebrity endorsements".
The Communication specialist said this after the release of two songs by award-winning artistes, Sarkodie and Samini in support of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP).
She explained that celebrity endorsement should not determine the votes in the upcoming December 7th elections in a series of tweets which she released today.
According to her, celebrities only endorse the highest bidder and not because of the interest of the masses.
Go out and vote for a candidate who best addresses your needs or has the best policies But it should never be based on a celebrity endorsements. People whose interests are tied to how much they are paid! (700000)
They are no different from the politicians you describe as corrupt— Bee (@Bridget_Otoo) November 3, 2020
She went on to say that because celebrities answer to who can pay their fees, they generally don't care about the masses.

‘CELEBRITY ENDORSEMENTS in Ghana’
Celebrities – are influential but their endorsements aren’t based on a proper research or interrogation of party policies or manifestos, nor is it based on party based on ideals and principles. It is simply put ‘MONEY MOVES’ pic.twitter.com/rlrz8MKEv1— Bee (@Bridget_Otoo) November 3, 2020
This is how it goes in Ghana, you will get a phone call from the leading parties (NDC & NPP) to endorse either Nana Akuffo Addo or John Mahama. You either charge them or simply say you want want no part of their politics and stay out!

Both The NPP and NDC have all used celebrities for this agenda! Whoever can offer the biggest cash gets the most endorsements from top celebrities. (Movie Stars, Musicians etc)
I would’t place premium on celebrity endorsements in Ghana

She used the Menzgold Saga as an example, advising that none of the celebrities who were signed unto the Zylofon Media platform had the decency to apologise and sympathise with customers whose funds were locked up in the gold Dealership firm.
These same people endorsed NAM1. At the height of the menzgold scam, when the SEC and other bodies with facts about menzgold came out, your favourite celebrities tweeted that all is well. They were not listening 2 professionals but listening to the man who pays them! pic.twitter.com/1mo1NM5VPY

People lost their businesses, others died from the Menzgold scam, and others are fighting to get their funds back.
Not a SINGLE celebrity has had the decency to apologize or even return the money they took.! It’s because they have no INTEGRITY! pic.twitter.com/wn7qe9Q6u4— Bee (@Bridget_Otoo) November 3, 2020
