Oppong, has indicated the Assembly's preparedness and commitment to work closely with the various traditional authorities, chiefs, and heads of the families to embark on the proper building structures layout exercises in the new sites of the traditional areas within the district.

The District Chief Executive (DCE) for Dormaa West Dormaa West District Assembly in the Bono Region, Mr. Francis K. Oppong, has indicated the Assembly's preparedness and commitment to work closely with the various traditional authorities, chiefs, and heads of the families to embark on the proper building structures layout exercises in the new sites of the traditional areas within the district.

This exercise, according to the DCE, would help to bridge the gap of dynamics of building collapse in Ghana.
Mr. Oppong pointed out the day of the indiscriminate building of structures in any place without following the proper layout of the community infrastructural plans would be things of the past in Dormaa West District under his administration.
 
He pointed out that the people in the district must consider that the situation in which some of them live is unsatisfactory, and it is possible to change the situation so that it becomes more satisfactory.
He stressed that such a proper building structures layout is necessary both in democratic planning and totalitarian planning.
According to him, community planning involves the formulation of long-range visions, goals, policies, and strategies for achieving social, economic, and environmental sustainability within a community to guide future community development.
This, he stressed has necessitated his current decision to lead his Physical Planning and Works Department team of the Assembly to visit Yaakrom chief and elders Monday, March 11, 2022, to explain to them how important community planning is.
Mr. Oppong disclosed this when he was speaking in an interview with Soireenews.com via telephone call on Tuesday, March 12, 2022.
The DCE stated that the people in the Yaakrom community were happy about the steps taken by his outfit to take them through the importance of community planning processes and procedures and assured him to obey the rules and regulations of building and housing plans of the Assembly.
During the meeting, the DCE noted that he informed the residents about the Assembly's preparation to develop the area in terms of human settlement and social amenities.
He pointed out that during the meeting which was witnessed himself, he advised the residents to support the Assembly and allow its officers to take the exercise in their community successfully.
He stated that the proper planning of the Yaakrom and other electoral areas within the Dormaa West District in the connection of the layouts of the building structures was his most priority on his agenda to bring sustainable socio-economic development and growth to the area.
He asserted that the chief, heads of the various families, and elders in Yaakrom were all agreed to support the Assembly to have the new sites of the Yaakrom properly layout.
