DCE Calls On Stakeholders To Help End Teenage Pregnancy In Dormaa East

The District Chief Executive for Dormaa East District, Honorable Emmanuel Kofi Agyeman, has called on all stakeholders in the District to join hands to help fight teenage pregnancy in the District.

According to the DCE, a report available to him from the District health directorate indicates that teenage pregnancy cases keep on increasing which needs urgent attention from all stakeholders to end it.

He hinted that the Assembly has passed a by-law to ban some activities that may lure these children into sexual promiscuity in the District.

He also added that,  apart from teenage pregnancy, the HIV infection rate in the district is also on the ascendancy per the report from the Ghana health service.

He said these two issues if not checked will affect the development of the district, therefore calling on all stakeholders to come on board in saving the situation.
