MP for Ningo Prampram constituency, Sam Dzata George says he will not allow his kids to go to school following the surge in COVID-19 cases and the discovery of a new variant.

This comes after the President, Nana Akufo-Addo Dankwa gave the greenlight for educational institutions to reopen after schools were closed down in March 2020 to contain the spread of the disease.

According to Sam George, he would rather prioritise the lives of his children over school.

In a post on Facebook, the MP said: “After a deep reflection and consultation with Senior Medical professionals, my wife and I have decided that our children would not be going to school on Monday or anytime soon.  As said earlier, better a missed grade than a grave.”
