Bono East Regional Minister to rejuvenate Tourist Sites through Government's  Green Ghana Project

Kwasi Adu-Gyan, Bono East Regional Minister has observed that the region is blessed with many Tourist Attraction Sites which have been unidentified or developed, and the few popular ones like The Kintampo/Fuller Water Falls and Boabeng/Fiema Monkey Sanctuary are not in their best states at the moment due to the COVID-19 pandemic and deforestation.

Kwasi Adu-Gyan, Bono East Regional Minister has observed that the region is blessed with many Tourist Attraction Sites which have been unidentified or developed, and the few popular ones like The Kintampo/Fuller Water Falls and Boabeng/Fiema Monkey Sanctuary are not in their best states at the moment due to the COVID-19 pandemic and deforestation.

Hon. Adu-Gyan is hopeful that the several locations for Tourism in Bono East if developed could attract more revenue to the various Municipal and District Assemblies therefore his decision to send this year's "Green Ghana Day" celebrations slated for 10th June 2022 to these Tourist Sites for more trees to be planted to preserve our forests.

Hon. Kwasi Adu-Gyan made this disclosure in an interview with Asta Fm's Nana Kwadwo Adu when he led Hon. Ursula Owusu-Ekuful the Minister for Communications and Digitalization, Hon. Gifty Twum Ampofo Deputy Minister for Education, Mr. Prince Ofosu Sefa Executive Director for GIFEC, and a host of other high-powered government officials to visit the "Buoryem Empirinsi Sacred Bat Caves" in the Techiman North District.

For her part, Hon. Mrs. Ursula Owusu-Ekuful after the visitation could not hide her joy and pledged Government would make the necessary arrangements to add the Buoryem Bat Caves to our major Tourist sites in Ghana.

Finally, Hon. Addo Donkor Everson DCE for Techiman North and Nana Frimpong Boakye Yiadom the Gyaasehene of Buoryem on behalf of the People expressed gratitude to Government and further called on private entities to come and invest in the tourism potential of the Bono East region.
