Bayern Munich have joined the race for RB Leipzig’s Dayot Upamecano, talkSPORTS have revealed.

The German champions are looking forward to replacing David Alaba who is in contention to joining Real Madrid although Paris Saint-Germain and Liverpool, are in pursuit for the signature of the 28-year-old.

Dayot Upamecano has attracted interest from a host of European clubs including Manchester United and Liverpool yet Bayern are reported to be in a pole position for the services of the centre back.

The French international joined Leipzig in January 2017 from Red Bull Salzburg and has quickly established himself as a key player. His current contract runs until June 2023 and has a release clause of £38million in his contract.

Bayern Munich chief Karl-Heinz Rummenigge is optimistic an agreement between their fellow Bundesliga team will soon be agreed.
