Barcelona's top brass met for food at a restaurant in the city, La Venta, just hours before Ronald Koeman is officially presented as the club's new head coach.

At the meeting was Josep Maria Bartomeu, CEO Oscar Grau, director Javier Bordas, the club's new technical secretary Ramon Planes and, of course, Koeman.

On the table, there were countless topics that need to be addressed regarding Barcelona's future.

It's clear that there is no time to lose at the Camp Nou, with the announcement that Planes would be replacing Eric Abidal as technical secretary coming just hours after Koeman was named as head coach.

Both Koeman and Planes are experts when it comes to revolutions and handovers respectively.

The heavyweights in the Barcelona squad already know that a "deep and extensive restructuring of the team" is coming, with there only being eight players who are not for sale: Lionel Messi, Marc-Andre ter Stegen, Nelson Semedo, Clement Lenglet, Frenkie de Jong, Ousmane Dembele, Antoine Griezmann and Ansu Fati.

The other names in the squad are likely to be discussed at La Venta.

What is evident is that the exit door is being left open for some club legends, such as Gerard Pique, Jordi Alba, Sergi Roberto, Sergio Busquets and Luis Suarez.

But surely Messi's name is going to feature prominently too, despite him being on the 'not for sale' list.

Koeman has told Bartomeu that Messi is a pillar of his project at the Camp Nou, but the truth is that the Argentine is seriously considering his future.

The Barcelona captain is closely following everything that is happening at the club and the steps being taken by the board, while also thinking about his future before informing the club of his decision.
