Startling revelations have emerged, indicating that the Acting Director of Administration at the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS), Mr. Raymond Avinu, allegedly orchestrated the transportation of individuals from the Dzodze area within the Ketu North constituency to the Ledzokuku constituency. The motive behind this move is believed to be an attempt to sway the votes in favor of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in upcoming elections.

According to sources, Mr. Avinu, who also serves as the Secretary of the NPP in the Volta Region, reportedly bussed approximately five Sprinter buses filled with voters from Avlikope, a villa Municipality Ketu North municipality. Interviews conducted with the individuals transported revealed that they were promised financial incentives upon transferring their votes and successfully voting in the 2024 elections.

Eyewitnesses also noted the presence of two NHIS official Land Cruisers at the scene, suggesting a tacit approval or involvement from the NHIS Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Okoe Boye, in the alleged voter manipulation.

The news of these actions quickly spread, prompting protests from opposition parties. Faced with mounting opposition pressure, Mr. Raymond Avinu, along with the bulk of the transported individuals, hastily left the scene.
