There is pandemonium within the New Patriotic Party (NPP) dominated towns and villages in the Abura Asebu Kwamankese (AAK) Constituency in the Central Region, following the current bribery and corruption scandals that have rocked the forthcoming NPP constituency executive elections in the area.

It has emerged that some constituency executive aspirants in the Abura Asebu Kwamankese are using frivolous means to get money from the very NPP delegates who are going to vote for them in the NPP constituency executive elections.

The information available to this news portal indicates that these aspirants have been exposed to calling some polling station executives in promising them to work and pay for taxis.

Intelligence gathered is that these constituency executive aspirants are bankrupt and cashless to run their campaign and so the deposit requested from the constituency executives, is what will be used for them to run their campaign to deceive innocent NPP members to vote massively for them to win the forthcoming elections.

This reporter is reliably informed that the Abura Asebu Kwamankese Constituency Secretary who is currently vying for the Chairman position of the party, Mr. Obed  Acquah Qunsah has allegedly helped himself and his sister, Madam Naomi Adjei Konadu who is currently canvassing for the position of the AAK NPP constituency Secretary with the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic funds meant for the people of AAK.

The records available to this paper have clearly shown that Mr. Acquah has allegedly allocated GH¢ 50,000 to himself and GH¢ 50,000 to his sister, Madam Naomi Adjei Konadu.

"When they get power, then they trick for you to get frustrated and lose your money. If you didn’t get some for your in-law, must you rob her as well?

"This is total robbery and if they had anything of that sort, why didn’t Madam Naomi Adjei Konadu and Mr. Obed Acquah Qunsah jointly share this huge amount of money to help party people but just some few hours to the election?, the aggrieved concerned NPP members in the Constituency have rhetorically asked.

They vowed that "We the supporters and members of the NPP in the area are not going to allow agendas to work Mr. Obed Acquah Qunsah Naomi Adjei Konadu and Mr. Obed Acquah Qunsah work and pay taxis robbery agendas to work in our constituency."
