2 months old baby who was beaten by his father dies

The revelation that a father had struck his 2-month-old child with a hanger for waking him up caused outrage among many on social media a week ago.

We deduced that Mr. Amatobi, a 28-year-old male, beat his infant son Miracle mercilessly and broke his arm because the boy had roused him from sleep.

After the incident, the child's broken limb had to be amputated in the pediatrics unit of the Federal Medical Centre, FMC Owerri.

The infant's distraught mother claimed that her husband acknowledged beating the child because he was preventing him from falling asleep, fracturing the boy's left hand in the process.
