Kumawood actress, Christiana Awuni has asked the Ghanaian media to stop referring to every slay queen on Instagram as a Kumawood actress.

According to her, anytime a slay queen does something newsworthy, she is always referred to as a "Kumawood actress".

The veteran pointed out that apart from the fact that it is very demeaning for the real Kumawood actresses, including herself, it is false news and shame on the media houses for not getting their facts right in the place.

The "Demonic Baby" said this in reaction to the beef between Kumawood actress Tracey Boakye and songstress Mzbel while speaking to Yekasa TV.

“I need to clear the air. The name Kumawood is extremely popular in Ghana, so whenever someone speaks Twi and insults others on social media, they are tagged ‘Kumawood actor."

She further pointed out that no proper Ghanaian would ever describe slay queens as Kumawood actresses because they know that the real ones are decent.

“But let me say this, the discerning Ghanaians who have watched Kumawood films from its inception know the real Kumawood stars and actors. Not the slay queens who strip naked and speak Twi.”

“I want Ghanaians to stop tagging them Kumawood actresses and address the decent ones as such. Not everyone can be a Kumawood actor.” She concluded.
