Assemblymember for Gausu electoral area, a community in the Obuasi Municipal Assembly of the Ashanti region, Honourable Dauda Tahiru has trained more than 50 persons in welding and fabrication to ease hardship.

He has debunked thoughts of some person's that, hand skill jobs are been perform by uneducated persons, adding that, if not him (Hon Dauda) choosing Welding as a profession he wouldn't have become an Assemblymember hence it's time Ghanaians especially the youth treat hand skill jobs as a very vital job.

In an engagement by Soireenews correspondent Yaw Opoku, the Hon Assemblymember stressed that, through his hand working skill he has positively impacted more than 50 person life (both males and females) in Obuasi. he explained that,  some person's who were trained under his training centre, Yaa Latif Engineering centre are now workers at the AngloGold Ashanti Obuasi mine as industrial welders, while some own their shops as professional welders.

He continued by saying some of the welders u see here we're trained by myself but they are now paid monthly by myself as permanent workers he told Yaw Opoku.

Currently, training is ongoing for  42 apprentices, both males and females. The main aim is to ease hardship and transform life in Obuasi and Ghana as a whole.

Dauda Tahiru is pleading with the general public to assist him with land so he can widen the centre to be able to train more youth.

He concluded by saying, I'm perhaps the record holder in the Ashanti region for training the youngest child in industrial welding, Hajia Munat Dauda 2 and a half years old. Yaa Latif Engineering centre door is open for anyone interested in welding and fabrication to be trained for free.
